Course Overview
SAP Utilities (SAP IS-U) is a process-oriented sales and information system that supports all services of utility and waste disposal companies. You can use SAP Utilities to manage and bill residential, commercial and industrial, and prospective customers.

SAP Utilities helps you to keep you business processes as streamlined and as efficient as possible. As a single software solution, SAP Utilities eliminates incompatible and isolated information in the back office. With SAP Utilities, you can access data at any time from diverse business areas, providing you with the information you need to make the right decisions.

SAP Device Management is fully integrated with the PM and MM and AM modules. A device (e.g.: meter, transformer) is a serial number of a device category and in the same time a piece of equipment. The device category is defined as a material in the material master.

The SAP IS-U Billing component is used for billing the following standard divisions: Electricity, gas, water/waste water, district heating, and multimedia services (for example, cable TV).  The supply and services provided by a utility company are billed using this component.  It offers a range of billing procedures with a variety of selection and control options

Course Curriculum
The IS-U Invoicing component enables you to group services and invoice them on one bill.  You can also use the component to calculate and charge fees and taxes.

SAP IS U Billing & Invoicing is fully integrated with SD. For example we can implement a process where some services are billed in SD and Invoiced in IS-U.
