Course Overview
SAP EHS supports the management of industrial hygiene, safety, and occupational health processes. SAP EHS Management helps you ensure compliance with regulations for product safety, hazardous substances, dangerous goods, and waste management.

SAP EHS module allows companies to create a safe work environment, manage dangerous goods information, handle waste and adhere to rules & regulations when shipping hazardous products within and across United States. Thousands of companies manufacture products that are shipped within United States or to/from ports in United States. There are laws and federal/state regulations in place that require appropriate level of information that is communicated to the parties handling these products that may be hazardous. Many countries and governments have realized that poor work environment and safety standards result in huge costs to the state and federal governments. EH&S module in SAP enables management of occupational health of employees especially in cases where individuals are exposed to increased levels of chemical, physical or biological substances.

SAP EH&S – Product Safety : Product Safety sub module in SAP EHS allow companies to manage chemicals, substances, materials, etc using the Specification Information System. Since global companies ship their materials to many countries, the information about products and materials is built using phrases in SAP. Phrase Management allows managing information in phrases there by making it easy to translate the infomation in multiple languages as each phrase is stored in several languages relevant to the customer. Material Safety Data Sheet (MSDS) is the most commonly generated and distributed report by manufacturing companies. Product Safety module enables efficient management of these reports and shipment of these reports using report shipping tools.

SAP EH&S – Dangerous Goods Management : With Dangerous Goods Management module, you can manage dangerous goods relevant data in SAP and define checks that need to be performed while selling, shipping and handling dangerous goods.

SAP EH&S – Industrial Hygiene & Safety : Industrial Hygiene and Safety sub module enables you to define work areas in your company, record exposures and assess risks associated with certain exposures and work areas.

SAP EH&S – Occupational Health : With this component, you can manage occupational health protocols established within your organization.

SAP EH&S – Waste Management : Waste Management enables you to handle and dispose industrial waste while complying to the federal, state and international waste standards.

Course Overview
SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer is a component of the mySAP Supply Chain Management solution that you use for planning and optimizing supply chain processes at a strategic, tactical, and operational planning level.

SAP APO is an acronym for SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer. This is a large component of SAP’s New Dimension products. There are eight application levels within SAP APO : network design, supply network planning, demand planning, production planning and detailed scheduling, transportation planning and vehicle scheduling, global availabilty and supply chain collaboration.

There are total 8 applications in SAP APO which include the network design, demand planning, supply network planning, production planning, scheduling, transportation planning, supply chain collaboration, global availability and vehicle scheduling.

The main benefits of SAP APO are :

1. It provides an end to end solution where all the key processes are linked together such as the supply chain management and the production planning.

2. Each and every minute application is linked together and it starts from order generation to making the production plan and the transportation.

3. It is not a standalone application and therefore it requires an ERP system as the backend and SAP R/3 for execution.

4. The R/3 environments communicate with SAP APO through the Core interface and the data is transferred between backend and frontend. The real time data and the data of production, sales and supply management is transferred from one system to other and it does not require a batch processing for processing the requests.

5. The APO functionalities are offered for demand planning, production planning, detailed scheduling and supply network planning.

The modules in SAP Advanced Planner and Optimizer (APO) are Supply Chain Cockpit, Demand planning, Supply Network Planning, Global Available to Promise, Transportation Planning and Vehicle Scheduling, Service Parts Planning, Production Plan and Details scheduling.

SAP PS stands for SAP project System. This module is used for close and constant monitoring of each activities of a project in technical and commercial aspects. Project system requires the data from all departments (MM, SD, FI, HR etc).

SAP Project System provides tools to track project milestone, costs and resources. SAP’s Project System module contains tight integration to the Controlling, Human Resources, and Logistics modules. It utilizes personnel records from HR, rolls costs into Controlling and links to materials or customers in the Logistics modules.

Two key objects that define the Project in SAP are:

Work Breakdown Structure – defines tasks and assign resources to those tasks
Network – defines the dependencies within the Work Breakdown Structure (WBS)

Common processes in Project System include:

Tracking costs against WBS elements. These costs can either be from personnel time charged against the project or from materials and/or services procured to support the project.
Tracking milestones against key dates defined in the project.

SAP Basis is a set of middleware programs and tools from SAP, the German company whose comprehensive ECC6 product is used to help manage large corporations, that provides the underlying base (thus the name) that enables applications (such as FI, CO, and SD, for example) to be seamlessly interoperable and portable across operating systems and database products. ECC6 Basis includes client/server architecture and configuration, a relational database management system (RDBMS), and a graphical user interface (GUI).

SAP BASIS addresses all security issues by incorporating an authorization module. With increased potential for security breaches in the computer systems around the world, BASIS consultants face a tough task of maintaining the integrity and administering the security of SAP systems. Interoperability features of a SAP system makes this task a bit more difficult.

SAP NetWeaver Process Integration (SAP XI/PI) is SAP’s enterprise application integration (EAI) software, a component of the NetWeaver product group used to facilitate the exchange of information among a company’s internal software and systems and those of external parties. Before the current version, SAP PI was called SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI). Like other NetWeaver components, SAP PI is compatible with software products of other companies. SAP calls PI an integration broker because it mediates between entities with varying requirements in terms of connectivity, format, and protocols.

According to SAP, PI reduces the TCO by providing a common repository for interfaces. The central component of SAP PI is the SAP Integration Server, which facilitates interaction between diverse operating systems and applications across internal and external networked computer systems. PI is built upon the Server. First release of SAP Exchange Infrastructure was XI 2.0. Later on, releases 3.0, 7.0 and 7.1 followed. From release 7.0 onwards, SAP Exchange Infrastructure has been renamed as SAP Process Integration (SAP PI).

Course Overview
The SAP BusinessObjects Data Services application can help by delivering a single enterprise-class solution for data integration, data quality, data profiling, and text analysis that allows you to integrate, transform, improve, and deliver trusted data that supports critical business processes and enables sound decisions.

SAP BusinessObjects Data Services combines industry-leading data quality and integration into one platform. With Data Services, your organization can transform and improve data anywhere. You can have a single environment for development, runtime, management, security and data connectivity.

One of the fundamental capabilities of Data Services is extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data from heterogeneous sources into a target database or data warehouse. You create applications (jobs) that specify
data mappings and transformations by using the Designer.

Use any type of data, including structured or unstructured data from databases or flat files to process and cleanse and remove duplicate entries. You can create and deliver projects more quickly with a single user interface and performance improvement with parallelization and grid computing.

Data Services RealTime interfaces provide additional support for real-time data movement and access. Data Services RealTime reacts immediately to messages as they are sent, performing predefined operations with message content. Data Services RealTime components provide services to web applications and other client applications.

The Data Services product consists of several components including:

• Designer

The Designer allows you to create, test, and execute jobs that populate a data warehouse. It is a development tool with a unique graphical user interface. It enables developers to create objects, then drag, drop, and configure them by selecting icons in a source-to-target flow diagram. It allows you to define data mappings, transformations, and control logic. Use the Designer to create applications specifying work flows (job execution definitions) and data flows (data transformation definitions).

• Job Server

The Job Server is an application that launches the Data Services processing engine and serves as an interface to the engine and other components in the Data Services suite.

• Engine

The Data Services engine executes individual jobs defined in the application you create using the Designer. When you start your application, the Data Services Job Server launches enough engines to effectively accomplish the defined tasks.

• Repository

The repository is a database that stores Designer predefined system objects and user-defined objects including source and target metadata and transformation rules. In addition to the local repository used by the Designer and Job Server, you can optionally establish a central repository for object sharing and version control.

This Course starts where SAP’s official documentation and training classes end. Addressing issues not covered elsewhere, “Practical SAP US Payroll” provides the technical and in-depth content needed by persons responsible for setting up and configuring a US Payroll system.

Since it’s important to understand the uniqueness of US Payroll, you’ll first learn how to configure the payroll business process. Once configured, you’ll learn about schemas and rules—and also about important tax issues—you’ll move on to more advanced topics such as overpayments, garnishments, and generating W-2′s and 1099′s for year-end tax reporting. Step-by-step examples show you how to create custom wage types, process deductions for benefits or garnishments, accruals, tax reporting, and even work your way through the complex topic of processing a retroactive payroll.

This course has everything you need to implement a successful payroll system. From the hands-on, step-by-step examples to the detailed wage type tables in the appendix, this is your complete guide to implement SAP HR US Payroll.

SAP Testing Training Course Overview

The course shows how SAP business processes and application components (HR, Accounts, Logistics) and application modules (SD, FI and CO) fit together from the viewpoint of user acceptance testing. We will show you how to define the roles, responsibilities and goals for acceptance testing and describe techniques that allow testers to take responsibility for the quality assurance of their SAP systems.

To understand the context in which you will be testing, we look at SAP’s use of menu-based dialogues, SAPGUI and business objects. The SAP IS-U CCS ( SAP IS Utilities Customer Care and Serviecs) is a Industry Solution from SAP which address the needs of a customer oriented utility company. In the next pages we’ll refer to SAP for Utilities Industry Solution simply as IS-U or CCS. Along with standard SAP R/3, SAP has provided solutions that cater to the special demands of a particular Industry and are seamlessly integrated with the components of standard SAP.

e.g. A equipment defined in standard SAP R/3 PM can be used while creating a device in SAP IS-U. These are called Industry Specific solutions. SAP IS-U/CCS component is a Sales & Information system that supports all business processes and utility services of a utility company. The core IS-U/CCS application is a consumption billing system that valuates measured and flat rate consumption and services. Though Services (but not consumption) can also be billed and invoiced using standard Sales & Distribution(SD).
